Step 3: Assembly & Painting
Use white glue to assemble your pieces (you might prefer to paint
some pieces before gluing them) and wait until it dries. Once dry, put
drops of various shades of brown, green and grey on the styrofoam
and use your brush to apply it everywhere. By applying all colors at the
same time, they will blend together and look more natural than if you
paint section by section with well defined borders. Unless the object you
want to paint was man-made and new, blending colors together usually
looks better than a single color: grass blends with dry grass and dirt;
rocks are made of multiple minerals with different shades; painted
surfaces fade, get covered by rust, or get dirty etc.
