If you are good at making quest plot, creating encounters or writing room descriptions, please post them in this forum sections and I'll try to include them somewhere in the Endless Dungeon with your username beside it. With your help, we'll be able to create a dungeon of gigantic proportion really fast and since other fans might submits ideas and adventure items, I'll be able to concentrate on what I do best, the map tiles.

Thanks

Description for Section 3, A3 and A4, B3 and B4

The way gets rough, and the ceiling lowers in front of the adventurers as they push on past dark corners and foul-smelling passages. They duck their heads down to get through a narrow doorway, and when they pass through, they see....nothing. It's black as pitch.

If an adventurer re-lights his torch and peers ahead into the gloom or has dark vision spell/ability, he will be able to just make out the silhouette of someone with his arms held up over his head. The adventurers had better keep their eyes open wide if they approach the man. He doesn't move. This is no man...it is the shrivelled corpse of a long-dead orc, wrapped tightly in thick webs. They've stumbled into the lair of one or more giant spiders . The adventurers may forge ahead into the dank cavern if they dare….

Description for Section 3, A1

The air is stale and heavy as the adventurers step into the cavern. There is the scurrying of many feet and the smallest stirring of air. The adventurers may step forward and look down into one of several crevices in the floor, and if they look closely enough into the gloom, they will see the half-eaten corpse of an unknown creature; too much of it has been eaten to be able to determine what it once was. Up over the edge of a crevice comes the head of a hideous beast. The rest of its body follows and it seems to go on forever before it finally reaches an end. Finally the entire mass is in sight, and what is revealed would strike terror in even the most seasoned adventurer. It is, of course, an enormous centipede, and close behind it are hundreds of smaller centipedes, scurrying forward rapidly towards the scent of fresh prey.

Description for Section 3, C3

Upon first glance, the room looks relatively safe to the wary adventurers, with just the odd bone or two causing them to stumble a little. The ceiling seems to be higher here than in other rooms; the air feels cleaner. If they have a torch, the adventurers may peer up into the darkness and see many hundreds of stalactites hanging from the ceiling, their sharp points jutting out menacingly. If any of the adventurers is particularly observant, they will see that in one place, the stalactites seem to be watching them, eyes slowly following their every move. The area surrounding the “eyes” can move at any moment to reveal the true nature of the stalactites: a Dark Mantle, waiting for the opportune moment to drop and attack his prey. Hopefully one of the adventurers has Silence Spell Abilities to prevent the Dark Mantle from being able to use its Blindsight to reveal their positions.

By the way, if any of you have nice ideas for rooms in the Endless Dungeon, just write up your description in the forum and I'll create tiles based on your descriptions.

Description and encounter for area 2C, 4A, 4B, 3A, 3B. As you enter the room a rancid, acidic smell fills your lungs. Thick, Slimy cobwebs line the walls and the ceiling. (note this is as they are entering area 4B).

As you approach the center of the room, the heavy smell of decay hangs in the air, leaving a damp, cloying smell. bones and dirt accumulated over time cover the floor (-1 to AC and attack rolls the characters must make a balance check (DC= 10+Party Level) or move only half movement). Webs Fill Almost every part of this room covering who knows what (Have the characters make a spot check (DC= 18+party level) to notice the spiders (the DC is high because the spiders know their home turf and have concealment from the webs. If the Characters fail their spot checks, the spider will spit webs at them during the surprise round, entangling them [half movement speed, -4 penalty to attack rolls and armor class and -4 to dexterity and dexterity related saves and skills.) By now the characters should have noticed the spiders so read them this: Four menacing looking spiders crawl out of the webs, spitting sticky webbing all around you. The spiders are covered with blood and entrails from a previous kill. if the heroes are defeated by the spider they are moved deep into the web (not killed but wounded and most likely poisoned making them move at half speed) and must make a DC 25 escape artist check (the Dm may lower or raise the DC to fit the appropriate challenge level for the party). If they win the earlier battle or escape, have them make a spot check (DC 22+party level) to notice a small green amulet clutched by the skeleton in area 4A. If they find it read them the following: A glint chatches (one of you PC's names) eye. as you come closer you notice it is a bright green emerald socketed into a brilliant gold necklace. Large Monsterous Spiders (4) HD:1d8/ level of the party level) +2 for each level. Abilities: str 17 dex 18 con 15 int 2 wis 10 cha 12 attack: Bite +3+party level damage 1d8+3 plus poison Poison: Venom Lord Poison: DC 16+party level initial damage 1d4 str and 1d4 dex secondary damage 1 str drain and 1 dex drain plus drowsiness -2 to attack and damage rolls, armor class, reflex saves, and dexterity checks.) Web (ex) as the second level spell reflex DC 14+party level or become entangled.

A question i must impose; do you play DND4E? or do you still do 3.5E? I was just curious, or do you play alternating versions and styles, based on the amount or type of players? I was doing some DMing a while back and i was just curious on how you wpuld apply this to the two most popular DND styles 3.5E and 4E? I had two different styles the 3.5 andf the 4E meet at the same spot and was stumped at how to handle combat because i couldnt make the 3.5Es play by 4E rules, but i also couldnt do that to the 4Es, and they were trying to initiate combat. Anyway that isnt important, what im curious about is, when writing for the endless dungeon, should i write 3.5E adventures, or move onto 4E adventures like so many others have moved on to. I am so confuzzled.
